O’Keeffe: Kiss the Sky

1 upcoming performance in New York

At the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, *O’Keeffe: Kiss the Sky* frames Georgia O’Keeffe’s life and artistic work through dance, with music by Missy Mazzoli and text by Royce Vavrek. Miami City Ballet and Patricia Delgado collaborate with artists from The Metropolitan Opera in a live setting that treats the museum as part of the stage. In New York City, where O’Keeffe’s legacy is closely tied to the institutions that collected and argued over modernism, the piece reads as a cultural reckoning as much as a portrait. Its clearest strength is its restraint, letting movement carry the biography without turning it into legend.
