Off-Season is a solo dance work presented at Danspace Project as part of *Legends & Visionaries: The Next Era*, on a bill shared with New York Theatre Ballet. The piece sits in conversation with NYTB’s lineage—founded in 1978 and shaped by the Cecchetti–Diaghilev tradition—by offering a contemporary counterpoint in scale and authorship. In a city where premieres often arrive as events, the work reads less like a debut and more like an argument for attention to individual practice. Its cultural weight comes from that friction: institution beside single body, repertory beside experiment.
