Matt Ruby Tapes His New Comedy Special!

2 upcoming performances in New York

At New York Comedy Club – Midtown, Matt Ruby records a new stand-up special in front of a live room. Ruby is a New York regular whose set has been shaped in the city’s club circuit, including the Comedy Cellar, and the taping captures that material as it’s formalized for a wider release. In a city where jokes are tested nightly and rewritten in public, a taping documents that process as much as the punch lines. The night’s most telling detail is its restraint: the camera records work, not hype.
