La Paga

0 upcoming performances in New York

At MoMA, *La Paga* appears as a free live performance, with featured performer Ciro Durán. The work takes its title from Juanes’s song, a Colombian pop track with a long afterlife in radio edits, remixes with members of The Black Eyed Peas, and a Cuban sample lineage that nods to Buena Vista Social Club. In New York, that transnational trail reads less like a hit’s résumé than a map of circulation and appropriation. No specific NYC premiere history is documented.
