Rajiv Joseph’s *Gruesome Playground Injuries* traces the relationship of two friends in scenes that jump across roughly three decades, returning again and again to the marks life leaves on the body. First staged in 2009 and later seen Off-Broadway, the play sits in the New York tradition of intimate, time-scrambling two-handers. This production is presented live at The Parkside Lounge. Its plain structure makes room for one sharp idea: injuries can be evidence, but also a kind of language.
