Grey Gardens

1 upcoming performance in New York

*Grey Gardens* is a stage musical that traces Edith “Big Edie” Beale and her daughter “Little Edie,” relatives of Jacqueline Kennedy, from society life to an increasingly sealed-off existence in their East Hampton home. Built from the same real-life story that fed New York’s documentary and downtown-theater imaginations, it studies how money, reputation, and dependency can narrow a life. The piece has had a long afterlife in the city since its 2006 Broadway run. This live event at Symphony Space features Ani DiFranco, Tony Trischka, Abby Jimenez, Annabelle Gurwitch, and Caro Claire Burke.
