In girum imus nocte et consumimur igni

1 upcoming performance in New York

At L’Alliance New York, Lucy Sante presents *In girum imus nocte et consumimur igni* alongside *Something in the Air*, framing the work as part of a broader practice that moves between criticism, memoir, and art. The title’s Latin palindrome points to circular motion and self-consuming desire, a useful key to a piece that lingers on nightlife, drift, and the ways cities feed on attention. In New York, the setting matters: Sante’s writing has long mapped the city’s undercurrents and forgotten histories. The result feels less like a narrative than a considered inventory of atmosphere and consequence.
