FUNKBOX NYC

1 upcoming performance in New York

FUNKBOX NYC is a recurring New York City night built around DJ culture, where selector craft and live musicianship share the same room. At Le Bain, it brings together Tony Touch—Bronx-rooted hip hop DJ, producer, and former breakdancer of Puerto Rican heritage—with Stretch Armstrong’s horn-driven band format and Ejoe on the decks. The program moves between crate-digging history and stage performance, pointing to a local tradition of genre-mixing as a social practice rather than a theme. In a city that constantly rebrands nightlife, FUNKBOX NYC reads as an archival gesture with a pulse.
