Fool-Moon Karaoke & Variety Show -4th Wednesdays!

0 upcoming performances in New York

Fool-Moon Karaoke & Variety Show runs on fourth Wednesdays at Freddy’s Bar, a neighborhood stage in Brooklyn where low-stakes performance is treated as a serious cultural practice. The night blends karaoke with variety acts, sitting alongside the venue’s other recurring programs, including Mimsey’s Open Mic (music, comedy, poetry) and its first-and-third-Sunday karaoke, Humans Against Music, and the Monday and Wednesday comedy open mics, plus the monthly storytelling series “So What Happened Was…”. In a city with a long tradition of bar-room cabaret and DIY showcases, the show functions less as spectacle than as an index of who is willing to take the mic. That ordinary openness is its clearest value.
