Estasis

1 upcoming performance in New York

*Estasis* arrives in New York City as a live program at Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture, framed by the sounds and stories of Latin music in the diaspora. Featured performers include Grand Pistachio, Roy Brown, Zoraida Santiago, Tite Curet Alonso, and Joe Bataan, figures tied to songwriting, social commentary, and the afterlives of salsa and Latin soul. If this marks an NYC premiere, it reads less like an introduction than a taking-stock. One clear throughline is how memory becomes repertoire, and repertoire becomes record.
