Downtown People

1 upcoming performance in New York

Downtown People is a rock/pop showcase staged as a live night at the Knitting Factory, anchored by album and LP release sets from Rebounder and DAZIES. The title points to a familiar New York subject: how scenes form, shift, and disappear as neighborhoods and friendships change. In a city with a long history of venue-based communities, the event reads as a small document of the current downtown circuit rather than a retrospective. One clear takeaway is its emphasis on records as social artifacts, not just streaming-era content.
