Pixar’s *Coco* (2017) follows Miguel, a 12-year-old in Mexico whose search for music pulls him into the Land of the Dead and into the history his family tried to seal away. Built around Día de Muertos imagery and a story about memory, it treats ancestry as something lived, argued over, and inherited. The film did not have a single “NYC premiere” moment so much as a wide New York release, quickly joining local school and family conversations about Latinx representation. In this Disney On Ice setting at Barclays Center, UBS Arena, and Prudential Center, its themes translate cleanly to ensemble storytelling on the rink.
