Catch Me If You Can

0 upcoming performances in New York

Steven Spielberg’s 2002 crime comedy-drama follows Frank Abagnale Jr., a teenage impostor who cycles through fabricated identities while an FBI agent closes in. The story comes from Abagnale’s own account, later widely questioned, which gives the film a useful tension between performance and truth. Its New York City ties are indirect but resonant: the chase moves through the era of Pan Am and the federal bureaucracy that radiated from Manhattan. Screening January 20, 2026 at the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens.
