Now at PACNYC: Perelman Performing Arts Center, *Bonegasm* is a play built around the sound and social life of low brass. Featured performer Jennifer Wharton, a New York–based trombonist trained in classical music and shaped by jazz, chamber work, commercial sessions, and Broadway pits, uses that range as the material of the piece. The work tracks how a working musician’s identity is assembled across genres, gigs, and expectations in New York. Its clearest insight is that craft and community can be as dramatic as plot.
