Black Loyalist Virtual Tour

0 upcoming performances in New York

Black Loyalist Virtual Tour arrives at Prospect Park as a live, dance-led event that treats history as something you move through, not just read. The work draws on the story of Black Loyalists—African-descended people who pursued freedom through allegiance to the British during and after the American Revolution—and traces the geography of displacement, survival, and record-keeping. In New York, that history sits close to the city’s own Revolutionary-era waterfronts and archives. Its spare approach can feel more like a field report than a spectacle, which is the point.
