Vollmond (Full Moon) New York Performances

At BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music), *Vollmond (Full Moon)* arrives in New York as a dance work that treats the moon as a practical force rather than a symbol. Movement and group patterns track shifts in mood and gravity, suggesting how bodies change under shared rhythms and nighttime attention. If this marks a first NYC presentation for the production, it also reads as a reminder of BAM’s role as a site where international contemporary dance enters the city’s ongoing conversation. The piece is most persuasive when it lets physical logic, not story, carry the meaning.
