Remote Hoods New York Performances

Remote Hoods approaches classical repertoire as a living archive rather than a museum piece, grounding performance in the social and spatial realities of New York. At BAM, the group appears in a live setting that treats the concert as a civic event, with attention to how sound carries through a room and through a city’s history. Their work sits in the long local tradition of artists reshaping “classical” identity in Brooklyn’s cultural corridors. The result is disciplined, and pointed in what it refuses to romanticize.
