Catch Me Weeping in Reverent Awe New York Performances

“Catch Me Weeping in Reverent Awe” is a live jazz set currently at The Jazz Gallery, with Jonathan Paik among the featured performers. Presented in an intimate room with a long history of spotlighting working composers, the performance unfolds as a suite-like study in restraint, density, and open space. Little public record frames it as an NYC premiere, but its placement here matters: it sits inside a local continuum where new pieces are tested in real time. The writing favors detail over display, and the ensemble listens hard.
