Break Allegro New York Performances

Break Allegro is a jazz set at the Iridium built around the Jerry Z Band, with guitarist Oz Noy joined by drummers Lenny White and Mike Clark and saxophonist Chad LB. The music centers on tight grooves, quick turns, and real-time listening, shaped by White’s fusion legacy and Clark’s funk-grounded exactness. In a city where the club stage is still a laboratory, this lineup treats the rhythm section as the main narrative engine. One clear takeaway is how the ensemble keeps virtuosity secondary to collective time and touch.
