Neu Material New York Performances

At New York Comedy Club – Midtown, Eric Neumann presents “Neu Material,” a set built around recently written jokes and the public process of testing them. Neumann comes out of the city’s club circuit, with past appearances at the Comedy Cellar, and the show treats New York as both subject and proving ground. It’s less a finished product than a live workshop, where timing and wording are adjusted in real time. In a scene that prizes constant output, the premise doubles as a record of how contemporary stand-up gets made.
