Wet Spot Presents DESIRE: A Connie's Clown Room Experience New York Performances

At The Parkside Lounge, Wet Spot Presents DESIRE: A Connie’s Clown Room Experience frames a kid-friendly live show through the logic of clowning, where emotion is acted out in simple tasks, repeated gestures, and direct audience play. The setting leans into the “room” idea, treating a bar venue as a temporary theater and testing what kinds of stories children can follow in an adult-coded space. Its NYC run reads as part of the city’s ongoing revival of small-scale variety and character work. One clear takeaway is how the piece uses humor to make desire legible without turning it into a lesson.
