LATE NIGHT LAUGHS! A Midnight Comedy Show After Burlesque New York Performances

LATE NIGHT LAUGHS: A Midnight Comedy Show After Burlesque runs late at Freddy’s Bar, extending the room’s stage life after the earlier burlesque set ends. The show sits inside a neighborhood calendar that also includes Mimsey’s Open Mic on 1st and 3rd Sundays, karaoke on those same Sundays, Humans Against Music, comedy open mics on Mondays and Wednesdays, and “So What Happened Was…,” a monthly storytelling series on third Mondays after the comedy show. Its cultural significance is local rather than premiere-driven: it documents how Brooklyn bars keep performance ecosystems active past midnight. One effect is a loosened style of comedy shaped by a crowd already warmed up by another form.
