Fractured Skies New York Performances

“Fractured Skies” is presented as a live exhibition event at MoMA Exhibitions, situating contemporary art within the museum’s ongoing dialogue with history and public life. Featured performer Nilima Sheikh brings a practice shaped by memory, landscape, and political fracture, using images and material to register how conflict travels through everyday scenes. In New York, the work reads against the city’s own layered immigrant and diasporic histories, even without a formal NYC premiere on record. Its clearest argument is quiet: that looking can be a form of accounting.
