Legends & Visionaries: The Next Era New York Performances

At Danspace Project, *Legends & Visionaries: The Next Era* pairs New York Theatre Ballet with the solo artist Off-Season on a shared program. Founded in 1978 by Diana Byer, New York Theatre Ballet draws from the Cecchetti–Diaghilev lineage while moving between repertory revivals and newly made dances. Off-Season’s solo work shifts the frame toward the present, using the body as a site for personal and civic commentary. The evening reads as a local snapshot of how New York dance tradition is carried forward, not preserved in amber.
