Pre-EP New York Performances

“Pre-EP” arrives at the Milton G. Bassin Performing Arts Center as a live, New York City–based program that treats the stage like a meeting ground for boroughs, genres, and languages. Featured artists include Miguel Anggelo, the Queens College Choral Society, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Queens Symphony Orchestra, and Santiago Cruz, each bringing a distinct musical lineage into the same frame. While no specific NYC-premiere history is widely documented, the lineup carries clear civic weight, reflecting the city’s long tradition of institutional and neighborhood music coexisting. The most telling detail is the balance: choral and symphonic forces share space with dance-floor rhythms without one being reduced to decoration.
