Phantom Boy New York Performances

At L’Alliance New York, *Phantom Boy* appears as a different kind of “Phantom Boy” event: a Rock/Pop performance that borrows its title from a French animated feature released in 2015. The film follows a boy whose illness gives him an unusual ability, pulling him into an investigation that mixes the everyday city with the uncanny. In New York, the presentation sits within a long exchange between French cinema and the city’s Francophone institutions. It plays best as a case study in how genre stories can smuggle in questions of vulnerability and agency.
