Graceland New York Performances

In New York, “Graceland” points less to a place than to a record and its afterlife onstage. At The Bitter End, Leave A Lasting Mark builds a tight, album-centered set around Paul Simon’s *Graceland*, tracing its interlocking pop and African musical lineages and the questions of authorship and exchange that still follow it. The Bitter End’s history of singer‑songwriter debuts gives the material a downtown frame. The band’s precision underscores how carefully engineered the grooves really are.
