The Way It Was New York Performances

At Racket NYC, Parachute returns to *The Way It Was* on its 15-year mark, placing the 2011 album in conversation with their earlier *Losing Sleep* and later releases *Overnight* and *Wide Awake*, along with independent material. The band, formed in Charlottesville in 2006, treats the record less as nostalgia than as a timestamp of early-2010s pop-rock songwriting and studio sheen. There’s no specific NYC premiere history attached to the album, but New York functions here as a public ledger, where touring catalogs get reassessed in real time. The result reads like an audit of a band’s continuity more than a victory lap.
