Freedom of Art New York Performances

At Dizzy’s Club, bassist Corcoran Holt brings *Freedom of Art* to the stage with the Corcoran Holt Quintet, centering music drawn from his work as a bandleader. Holt, also heard with the Kenny Garrett Quintet, shapes the set from the bass, foregrounding written material and the way individual lines lock into group motion. In a city where jazz history is often told through horn front lines, this puts the rhythm section’s authorship in plain view, a useful corrective. No specific NYC premiere history has been documented for this program.
