THANK GOD IT'S ALMOST MONDAY New York Performances

At Irving Plaza, **THANK GOD IT’S ALMOST MONDAY** documents the current chapter of San Diego indie pop/rock trio **almost monday**—Dawson Daugherty, Luke Fabry, and Cole Clisby—together since 2015. The set traces their arc from early EPs in 2020 and 2021 to the full-length *Dive* (2024), built on bright vocal lines and a rhythmic, band-first pulse. There’s no established NYC premiere history attached to the title, but the venue’s long role in breaking touring acts gives the night local cultural context. One clear takeaway is how carefully the group keeps pop clarity while playing like a rock band.
