Sacred Visions: Oru de Oro New York Performances

Now playing at NJPAC, *Sacred Visions: Oru de Oro* is a documentary-minded stage work that threads ritual, memory, and diaspora into a single evening of theater. It draws on Afro-Caribbean and Latinx spiritual lineages, using testimony-like storytelling and embodied performance to ask what communities preserve when language, borders, and family histories shift. A New York City premiere history is not well documented, but the piece sits in a regional arts corridor where NYC audiences often trace similar questions of belonging. Its restraint reads as an argument: attention can be a form of respect.
