The George Lucas Talk Show New York Performances

The George Lucas Talk Show is a long-running New York City stage experiment in improvised talk-show form, led by comedian Connor Ratliff performing as George Lucas. Real guests appear as themselves, fielding questions alongside rotating Star Wars sidekicks—once Jar Jar Binks (Shaun Diston), now often Watto (Griffin Newman)—in a loose panel structure. The series began in 2014 and built its audience through monthly shows in the city’s alt-comedy circuit before moving to venues like The Bell House. Its cultural value is in how it treats fandom as a prompt for live character work, not a punchline.
