About Bargemusic
Bargemusic is a classical music presenter based at Fulton Ferry Landing in Brooklyn, long associated with the East River waterfront beneath the Brooklyn Bridge. It began in 1977 and built its reputation on chamber music and solo recitals in close quarters, with the city skyline functioning as a silent backdrop. After operating for decades from a converted coffee barge, the organization shifted its concerts in 2025 to the Brooklyn Bridge Park Boathouse. Programming remains centered on classical repertoire, often framed in series that foreground working New York musicians.
