About Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater

The Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater is a 299-seat venue at Lincoln Center at 150 West 65th Street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Opened in 1972, it operates as one of Lincoln Center Theater’s stages and is closely associated with contemporary plays and smaller-scale drama. The room is known for its intimate sightlines, keeping audiences near the performers without the distance of a large proscenium house. Its programming often sits alongside the company’s work at the Vivian Beaumont and Claire Tow theaters, with an emphasis on new writing and revivals.
