About Vivian Beaumont Theater
The Vivian Beaumont Theater, located in Manhattan's Upper West Side within the Lincoln Center complex, stands as a unique Broadway venue outside the traditional Theater District. Operated by Lincoln Center Theater, it opened its doors in 1965 and seats over 1,000 patrons. This modernist structure was among the final projects of architect Eero Saarinen, with interior design by Jo Mielziner. As a venue, it primarily focuses on theatrical productions, serving as a hub for innovative performances and creative exploration.
