Nutcracker Sweets & The Steadfast Tin Soldier (Veterans Day performance - additional showtime)

Currently at Puppetworks in Brooklyn, “Nutcracker Sweets” is presented as a traditional marionette show for children and families, performed alongside *The Steadfast Tin Soldier*. Handcrafted puppets and visible stagecraft recast familiar holiday imagery as small-scale storytelling rather than ballet spectacle. The Nutcracker has circulated through New York since early 20th-century ballet productions and became a yearly civic ritual with the New York City Ballet; this version notes how durable the narrative is across forms. One quiet strength is its pace, which makes room for attention and listening.
