Rebounder - Downtown People Album Release Show Rebounder - Downtown People Album Release Show
About This Event
Rebounder marks the release of Downtown People with a set at the Knitting Factory. The rock/pop project has appeared on New York City bills at that venue and has shared lineups with DAZIES; on streaming it has roughly 39,000 Spotify followers and a popularity score near 48/100. Their sets favor tight song structure and direct delivery, framing the release as a presentation of songs rather than spectacle.
About Downtown People
Downtown People is a rock/pop showcase staged as a live night at the Knitting Factory, anchored by album and LP release sets from Rebounder and DAZIES. The title points to a familiar New York subject: how scenes form, shift, and disappear as neighborhoods and friendships change. In a city with a long history of venue-based communities, the event reads as a small document of the current downtown circuit rather than a retrospective. One clear takeaway is its emphasis on records as social artifacts, not just streaming-era content.
