About This Event
A four-comic lineup — Judah Friedlander, Meka Mo, Dan Davies and Joey Rinaldi — performs at New York Comedy Club - Midtown. Friedlander, known for a recurring role on NBC's 30 Rock, shares the bill with Dan Davies, a comedian and screenwriter who co-wrote, co-produced and appeared in the dark comedy feature Ed Gein, the Musical and favors a dry, deliberate pace. Meka Mo and Joey Rinaldi contribute personal, observational sets honed in New York clubs such as The Stand.
About 30 Rock
“30 Rock” here refers to the city’s other 30 Rock: a stand-up showcase staged at New York Comedy Club’s Midtown and East Village rooms. The lineups rotate, with performers including TaTa Sherise, Judah Friedlander, Neko White, Cipha Sounds, and Paula J. Leon, drawing on backgrounds in television, music, and club comedy. Its cultural reference point is unmistakably New York, echoing the midtown TV mythology that made “30 Rock” shorthand for NBC-era Manhattan. The strongest moments treat the city less as a punchline than as a working premise.
