CG5 Presents: The GAMER Tour
About This Event
Charles Duncan Green V, who records as CG5, is an American singer-songwriter, music producer and YouTuber known for nerdcore hip-hop about video games and internet culture. He performs as part of The GAMER Tour at Racket NYC, presenting material informed by those themes and by his multimedia work, including directing the horror series-and-film hybrid Project U Move.
About The GAMER Tour
The GAMER Tour brings CG5 to Racket NYC with a rock/pop set shaped by his online life: songwriting, production, and a YouTube audience raised on games and internet folklore. His material draws on the “nerdcore” tradition, using references and character voices as narrative tools rather than throwaway jokes. In New York, the show reads as a snapshot of how digital subcultures now travel on the same circuits as club music. The result is unusually specific pop, built for people who recognize the source codes.
