DAVID BENOIT CHRISTMAS - A Tribute to Charlie Brown

At the Iridium, pianist-composer David Benoit brings a jazz holiday program titled “David Benoit Christmas — A Tribute to Charlie Brown.” Known for smooth and contemporary jazz, he centers the evening on melodic, piano-led arrangements that revisit the Charlie Brown soundtrack legacy through a modern club lens. In New York, where seasonal repertoire often tilts toward Broadway and songbook standards, this set points to another strand of the city’s winter music culture: the after-hours jazz reimagining of familiar themes. The result is less nostalgia than craft, with the piano carrying both the story and the swing.
