The Grove Street Stompers
About This Event
The Grove Street Stompers play Arthur’s Tavern in a setting where the room’s history and acoustics shape the music as much as the charts do. Their repertoire moves between straight-ahead swing and freer episodes, with horns and rhythm trading cues in real time and a focus on collective momentum rather than individual display.
About the Artist
The Grove Street Stompers
The Grove Street Stompers are a New York City jazz group heard in the close quarters of Arthur’s Tavern, where the room’s history and acoustics shape the set as much as the charts do. Their working repertoire draws on straight-ahead swing language and stretches into freer episodes that leave space for risk and response.
