About The Hearth's Promise - Part I The Bidden Path
At Union Hall, comedian Charlie Bardey presents *The Hearth’s Promise – Part I: The Bidden Path*, a live comedy installment framed as the opening chapter of a larger story. The piece leans on narrative structure and performance voice as much as on jokes, using the room’s closeness to make small turns in tone register. No documented NYC premiere history is publicly established, but its serial format echoes New York’s long tradition of testing new work on intimate stages. One clear strength is its attention to pacing, treating silence as part of the material.
