VANGUARD JAZZ ORCHESTRA
About This Event
The Vanguard Jazz Orchestra traces its lineage to the Thad Jones–Mel Lewis band and has maintained a continuous presence at the Village Vanguard for decades. The ensemble’s repertoire balances traditional big‑band writing with contemporary arrangements by its members. This regular Vanguard residency documents that history and ongoing developments in large‑ensemble jazz.
