About This Event
Jake Owen appears as Artist in Residence at PACNYC: Perelman Performing Arts Center with Mark McIntyre and the Bergamot Quartet. Owen’s work places operatic technique alongside Brazilian popular forms and a song-forward, country-inflected phrasing; the Bergamot Quartet’s preference for clarity and ensemble balance suggests a program that privileges text and line and pairs voice with chamber textures.
