SUM SUN: Rendezvous Album Release Show
About This Event
SUM SUN and Sumsun play the Rendezvous album release at Mercury Lounge. Both projects have been heard on New York stages including the Bowery Ballroom and have shared bills with The Rikkies and So Impartial; their approach comes from the working club circuit, favoring tight ensemble interplay, guitar-driven rhythms and clear song structures over elaborate staging.
About Rendezvous
“Rendezvous” is the other kind: a meeting engineered by timing and consent, closer to a handshake than a collision. At Mercury Lounge, that idea becomes a rock/pop bill anchored by SUM SUN’s album-release set, with Sumsun sharing the stage. Both projects have circulated through New York rooms such as the Bowery Ballroom, building reputations on the club circuit rather than formal training. The pairing lands as a document of how NYC still incubates new work through repeated encounters, not grand unveilings.
