THE RAINBOW FISH MUSICAL

Now onstage at Queensborough Performing Arts Center, *The Rainbow Fish Musical* adapts Marcus Pfister’s picture book into a short-form stage work for young audiences. It follows a glitter-scaled fish learning what it costs to belong, and what it means to share without losing oneself. The piece sits in New York City’s long tradition of family programming that treats children’s stories as civic material, not just entertainment. Its directness can feel didactic, but the ethical questions land cleanly in a live room.
