About This Event
Playback’s Street Party, a New York City–based dance project, performs at BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music). The work draws on street and social-dance lineages and adapts them for the stage and a seated audience; it shifts between organized sequences and open, communal energy, using rhythm and repetition as structural devices and privileging direct physical communication over spectacle.
