About This Event
At The Jazz Gallery, New York trumpeter and composer Adam O’Farrill brings his practice—rooted in afro‑Cuban jazz, free improvisation and the avant‑garde—into dialogue with Taiwan’s Elephant Gym. The lineup pairs O’Farrill’s emphasis on rhythmic complexity and clear ensemble interplay with Elephant Gym’s bass‑forward, math‑rock precision (siblings KT and Tell Chang with drummer Chia‑Chin Tu), a meeting of jazz language and irregular, melody‑driven rock rhythms.
