About This Event
The Harlem Globetrotters bring their hybrid of practiced ball-handling, comedy and set-piece theatrics to Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum for the Rivalry Tour Presented By Sprite. Founded in the United States and refined through decades of touring, the exhibition basketball team uses familiar foil opponents and clear storytelling to structure performances that prioritize routine and theatricality over competitive stakes.
About Rivalry Tour
Rivalry Tour arrives at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum as a live sports event built around staged competition and crowd-participation basketball. The featured performers, the Harlem Globetrotters, carry a New York legacy that reaches back to their early ties with Harlem as a name, a symbol, and a marketing invention that outlived its era. On court, the show blends practiced trick play with an opponent structured to keep the narrative moving. The result is less a game than a traveling piece of American sports theater, with roots in segregation-era entertainment and mass touring.
