The Pharcyde & Slum Village
About This Event
The Pharcyde, a South Central Los Angeles hip-hop group formed in the early 1990s with original members Imani, Slimkid3, Bootie Brown and Fatlip, appears at Brooklyn Bowl alongside Slum Village. Their work favors nimble group interplay, shifting voices and a loose, jazz-minded sense of rhythm—shaped by early producers including J-Swift and later J Dilla—and is suited to rooms that emphasize flow and timing over hard-edged minimalism.
